Olympic Hills Golf Club offers so much variety throughout a wedding day. The expansive grounds give us plenty of room to create beautiful portraits without ever leaving the property, while the large deck overlooking the ceremony space is perfect for cocktail hour and candid moments with guests. Inside, the spacious ballroom is surrounded by large windows that bring in beautiful natural light. Having so many different spaces to work with makes it easy to create variety throughout the day while keeping everything relaxed and convenient for you and your guests.
A Photographer’s Tips for Your Wedding at Olympic Hills Golf Club:
✓ The men’s getting-ready space is fantastic. It’s spacious, completely separate from the women’s suite, and even has a golf simulator, giving the guys plenty of room to hang out while getting ready.
✓ The women’s getting-ready space is smaller, so plan accordingly. I recommend bringing light-up makeup mirrors for hair and makeup since there aren’t mirrors already set up in the space.
✓ There are plenty of options for family and wedding-party photos close to the clubhouse, so we don’t need to take everyone all over the golf course.
✓ Save some couple portraits for later in the day. The course gives us so many options, and the light can completely change the look of your photos as the evening goes on.
✓ Build a little golf-cart time into your portrait timeline. It gives us the freedom to explore more of the property without using up a huge portion of your wedding day.
✓ The deck is a great place for cocktail hour, which means you can actually join your guests after the ceremony instead of spending the entire time taking photos.
✓ Rain doesn’t mean we’re out of options. The large windows inside the clubhouse give us natural light to work with, and covered areas can give us additional options depending on the weather.
✓ The ballroom photographs beautifully with a little additional reception lighting. I bring my own lighting so we can keep skin tones beautiful and still capture the atmosphere of the room once the sun goes down.
